HI, I'M PERRY!
I've been the head art teacher at Smithers Secondary School in Canada for over 20 years, and am an exhibiting artist myself. My passion is helping people of all ages find their creative voice and awaken the artist within.
I thrive on creating opportunities for all levels of developing art students and I love providing the classroom as a creativity zone where students get to explore all kinds of materials, ideas and processes to interact with and inspire each other. I've seen the incredible empowerment that students get when they get into a creative flow zone.
I have received a number of awards and recognition for my innovative work, notably:

- 2022 BC Art Teacher’s Association Award of Excellence/ Art Teacher of the Year

My own acclaimed artwork of paintings, installations/objects, printmaking, collaborations and more has been exhibited in extensive regional, national and international venues and publications for 30 years.
